Nadja Mikkilä
Acrylic on canvas
100 x 120 cm

This painting does not, in fact, have a name. Nadja wanted viewers to project their own thoughts and expectations onto it. Personally she was thinking of winter and frozen seas, and rotated the canvas over and over until deciding the optimal orientation. As the work progressed she also became aware of a hostile quality to it. The pseudo-fractal forms and the gelid palette evoke an aggressive organism, like a computer virus, or a faceless evil corporation.
